Tattoo Tuesday: Watercolour

I found this online and thought it was so cool and unique. It's colourful and puts a different spin on coloured tattoos. Just goes to show, you don't just have to have black or blue tats

Tattoo Tuesday: Arrow

So some of you may have clicked on this link because you don't know what body mod is. Well body mod (or body modification) is anything you do to change the way you look in the sense of tattoos, piercings, scarring etc. I'm only going to be talking about tattoos and piercings though,  nothing else really.
So I thought I'd rumage through the internet and find amazing tattoos either just to share with you, inspire you or creep you out (whatever takes my fancy.) There really are so many wonderful designs out there.
I'm well aware that there are so many different views on tattoos. Some think they're great and others think they're horrible. I respect your opinion but you can make them look nice, it just depends on the design you have and where you have it.
One design I found really inspired me. I've mentioned it before in a previous post  How to make the best out of life. It's the first tattoo I plan on getting and I really think it looks quite nice. It's small, simple and out of sight which means it wouldn't interfere with things (ie. school, work etc). I'm also a huge believer that tattoos should have meaning. If they don't, why mark yourself with something that's meaningless.

I'm not going to try and make you get tattoos or piercings. It's not in my power to do so. I just want to show you how amazing they can be if done right.

Hail eBay!!!

I never really go on eBay because I'm afraid I'll see a really good deal and won't be able to have it. I went on and saw something, and,  Holy Cow I wish I hadn't!

Some woman was selling 32 MAC brushes + a case + a free gift for...$68!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like OMG I NEED!!! And it was all genuine!

The first thing I usually look at is shipping etc and on this deal, she was offering free postage to Australians, so that was good.
The only problem was that I couldn't have it. I don't have any money and my parents obviously weren't going to cough up $68 for make up brushes (they think I have enought make up) considering the fact we hadn't even moved into our house, which is completely unfurnished!

So basically I'm really sad because I could be saving so much money!
I do recommend going onto eBay though and having a look at the cosmetics, especially the high end brands like MAC, NARS, Benefit etc because some people do sell them cheaply:)

Lovely Lips

I'm not really a vibrant lip person but I'd seen Zoe from Zoella wearing it and thought it looked SO pretty therefore I had to have it.
I went straight to the Rimmel stand and picked it up, s relieved it was there. I always get so annoyed when you have your sights set on a product and then the shop doesn't have the shade you want!

I swooned (that's a good word, swooned) over to the Maybelline stand and saw the Colour Whispers. I know they are available in America but I'm not sure if they're out in the UK or Ireland yet. Anyway, I thought they looked really pretty and really wanted to try one so I picked one up.
After putting it on though, I noticed that it's very similar to a natural lip colour and only really adds a shine.
I'll see how I go with these and write a post on them at some stage :)

HOW TO: make the best out of life

Moving somewhere is a huge deal, whether it's house, town or country.  So much preparation goes into a move as well as a lot of money!

I had to pack my bags and travel from Ireland all the way to Australia. It's probably the biggest and most exciting thing I've ever done in my life. But, it wasn't all plain sailing. You probably think: “Sure, all I have to do is pack my stuff in bags and do a bit of cleaning because mum and dad are doing the rest.”
It sounds that simple but it's not. Most of the time while we were preparing, I was happy; really happy in fact. I had a huge fantasy of what our new house would be like, how I would design my room and all the new things I could get, which is the natural thing anyone would do.

I was really looking forward to it. But then I was told that it may take quite a long time to get everything looking like a home again. This really hit me emotionally and I realised how big the situation actually was. I cried because I was so overwhelmed by everything. (Don't be afraid to cry, just let it all out!) I started thinking that everything was going to go wrong and that by the time the house would be a home, I would have already moved out etc etc.

I'm usually quite a positive person and this was unlike me. I sat down and decided I would make a list of all the positive things about moving, rather that focusing on the negatives. (I love lists!)
Honestly, it helped. Loads. I managed to come up with sixteen positive things about moving. SIXTEEN! If you write down sixteen words on a sheet of paper, it is a lot. And for me, it out did the negatives by a mile;and it made me realise that yes, this move wasn't going to be easy and that I would have to put work into it (even though my parents had loads more!), but I knew that I would get there in the end.
Most things in life will eventually work themselves out. You've just got to except and deal with the things you can't change but make the best out of all the things you can.

I love making lists because I find I accomplish a lot more that way. You don't have to be moving anywhere to make a positive list. You can be in any situation. Just try and stay as positive as possible. Things are a lot easier when you're positive.

One thing that got me through the move (and sometimes life ) was an arrow. You probably think it's weird, but it's symbolic. It means this:
An arrow must be pulled backwards before it can go forwards. If ever you're feeling down in life and feel that nothing's in your favour, just think, you may go shooting into something amazing.
At some point, I want to get it tattooed on my side because 1.I love tattoos and 2. it's a constant reminder to be positive and stuff

I hope that I have helped someone. If not, well, you may need it one day. If I have, I'm glad I've been able to help you :)
You can also apply this to everyday situations. Even if you're just stuck in traffic, there's no milk in the fridge, you didn't do your homework, whatever the case make be: turn your negative thought into a positive one and the world will seem a whole lot better.
